Travel to Israel

The best way to travel to Israel is by air.

There are regular direct flights from major cities in Europe and North America, as well as from a number of Asian cities to Tel Aviv, Ben-Gurion International Airport.

Airport Transfers

In addition to the on demand taxi service available at the airport, special airport transfers are also available on a prearranged basis.

The ITSS Secretariat will arrange upon request, private transfers from the airport to the selected conference hotels for a fee (up to 2 people) including airport assistance right after passport control. A VIP service from the aircraft doors is also possible for additional charge. 

Rates (up to 2 people):

Private Arrival Transfer US$ 220

Upon arrival, you will pass through immigration, collect your bags, pass through Customs, and then proceed to the Arrivals Hall. On the right side of the Arrivals Hall (near the 'Erroca' counter) your personal chauffeur will welcome you, holiding a sign with your name on it.

Private Departure Transfer US$ 220

Your driver will be waiting for in the lobby of your hotel, holiding a sign with your name on it (pick up for return transfer will be 4 hours prior to flight departure time).

VIP Arrival Service and Transfer US$ 360

This service operates from the plane, where you will be greeted on landing at the end of the flight sleeve. 

A representative will escort you all the way through passport control, luggage collection, directly to the awaiting car transfer which will take you to your hotel. 

Taxi

Taxis are readily available at the airport. They operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a private or shared service.
Taxis can be found right outside the Arrival Hall of the airport.
Taxi services are regulated and the Taxi companies at BGN operate under permission.

The cost of the taxi is about 200 NIS during the day and 250 NIS at night time. 

Train

The train station is located on Level S of the Landside Building, adjacent to the Arrival Hall. The train will take you to the 

 

Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon Station in Jerusalem from where you will need a Taxi to reach your hotel. 

Bus

The shuttle bus from Ben Gurion Airport to Jerusalem (bus number 485) is available 24 hours a day, 6 days a week (be advised that public transportation does not run on Friday night-Saturday all day). It departs hourly during this time, and runs to several central points in Jerusalem, including Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station.

Ride time: approx. 1 hour.

Rate:  The tickets for the shuttle bus from Ben Gurion Airport to Jerusalem can be bought on the spot for NIS 16.00 in cash (approximately $4.60). Note that this service collects and drops from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. 

Car Rental

The car rental company counters are located on the first floor of the East Gallery in the Arrival Hall. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
